Rosalie Cunningham (born April 25, 1990 in Southend-on-Sea , Great Britain ) is a British singer-songwriter . From 2011 to 2017 she was the front woman of the rock band Purson, which she founded .

biography

Rosalie Cunningham founded the psychedelic rock band Ipso Facto in 2007 at the age of 16 as a women's quartet. The band recorded four singles between 2007 and 2009 , the songs of which were all written by Cunningham.

After Ipso Facto was dissolved in 2009, Cunningham got involved in other music projects. Among other things, she was a background singer for The Last Shadow Puppets and Magazine , where she also appeared on stage at concerts. In 2010 she played the keyboard instruments at These New Puritans . In 2012 she appeared as a guitarist with Willy Moon as opening act for Jack White's UK tour . She was a backing singer on Cathedral's album The Last Spire , released in 2013 .

In 2011 Rosalie Cunningham founded the rock band Purson, whose music can be assigned to the genre of psychedelic rock and stoner rock . In April 2017, she announced the breakup of the band after the band released the farewell song Chocolate Money .

In 2018, Rosalie Cunningham announced that she has written extensive song material since Purson broke up in April 2017 and is looking for band members to play and record that music. In July 2018 she had her first appearances, including at the Cambridge Rock Festival, with several musicians, including George Hudson from the previous band Purson.
