Eighteen Visions is an American post-hardcore band from Orange County , California . Before their breakup, they were under contract with Epic Records . They have been with Rise Records since they were founded in 2017 .

history

Eighteen Visions (also abbreviated to 18V) were founded in 1996 by James Hart (vocals) and Ken Flyod (drums). The two were the only founding members to play in the band until the end of 2007.

18V made their debut with the Lifeless EP , which was released on Life Sentence Records. This was followed by Yesterday Is Time Killed, the first full-fledged album on Cedargate Records. Two more albums followed ( Until The Ink Runs Out and a Best Of). Then there was a big break in style with the album Vanity whose single You Broke Like Glass was extremely successful. With the last albums 18V became better known, but at the same time old fans turned away because they did not support the change in style from metal-heavy hardcore to softer tones.

On February 9th, 2017 the band opened an official Instagram account and posted a photo with the message “the countdown begins…”. The new album XVIII was released in Europe on June 9, 2017.
