Henri d'Attilio

Henri d'Attilio (born February 4, 1927 in Châteauneuf-les-Martigues , † November 12, 2008 in Marseille ) was a French politician of the Parti socialiste .

Between 1988 and 1998, the socialist was a member of the twelfth constituency in the Bouches-du-Rhône department . He claimed this against Jean-Pierre Stirbois in 1988 and against Bruno Mégret in 1993 , both candidates for the right-wing extremist Front National . On September 27, 1998, he was elected a member of the French Senate and at the same time gave his mandate to Vincent Burroni . The Constitutional Council dismissed him on December 23, 2004 for reasons of illness. Jacques Siffre took over his post . Henri d'Attilio, a former senior member of the Eurocopter Group , belonged to the socialist faction. He campaigned for the protection of the Côte Bleue and the Étang de Berre . He was also mayor of his hometown Châteauneuf-les-Martigues and Member of the General Council for the canton of Châteauneuf-Côte-Bleue from 1970 to 2003 . D'Attilio, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease , died on November 12, 2008.
