Paul Peytral
Paul Peytral (born January 20, 1842 in Marseille , † November 30, 1919 there ) was a French politician. He was a member of the National Assembly from 1881 to 1894 and a member of the Senate from 1894 to 1919 .
Peytral entered the National Assembly in 1881 for the Parti radical . From January to December 1886 he was Ministerial Director for Finance. In April 1888 he was first finance minister under Prime Minister Charles de Freycinet , which he remained until February 1889. In 1893 he held this post again for a few months. The following year he moved from the National Assembly to the Senate. There he belonged to the moderate left faction. From 1898 to 1899 he was again Minister of Finance. In the Senate he was still responsible for finances, but also for naval matters. In 1919 he died before his mandate expired.
