Louis Pasquet (born October 17, 1867 in Tarascon , † April 29, 1931 in Paris ) was a French politician . From 1920 to 1931 he was a member of the Senate .

At the age of 13, Pasquet left school to work as a telegraph delivery man. He rose quickly in the communications industry, so that in 1896 he was able to switch to a PTT university. In 1916 he finally became the company's general secretary. Thanks to his high position, Pasquet was a member of the Conseil d'État . In 1917 he also became a member of a Conseil consultatif , which dealt with the situation of the French railways. He was also the commander of the Legion of Honor . In addition to his career, Pasquet was also active in politics. From 1910 he was a member of the General Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône department . From 1913 to 1914 and from 1918 to 1930 he chaired it. In 1920 Pasquet ran for the Senate elections and was able to win a mandate with confidence. In the Senate he represented the moderate left. He was re-elected in 1921 and 1929. Pasquet retired from politics in 1930 for health reasons. He died in Paris on April 29, 1931.
