Henry Barne

Henry Barne (born September 9, 1831 in Arles , † September 29, 1893 ibid) was a French politician. He was a member of the Senate from 1879 to 1893 .

Barne worked as a lawyer in Marseille . As such, he was politically active, wrote articles for Republican newspapers and moved to the General Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône department , where he later became president. In 1879 he was elected to the Senate as successor to Alphonse Esquiros, who died in 1876 , and joined the Republicans there. In 1886 he was re-elected. He was increasingly weakened in the last years of his life, but remained a member of the Senate until his death in 1893.
