Félix Ciccolini (born October 2, 1916 in Cozzano in Corsica , † May 1, 2010 in Ajaccio ) was a French politician and mayor of Aix-en-Provence . From 1971 to 1989 he was a member of the Senate .

Ciccolini, born in the south of the island of Corsica, worked as a lawyer in Aix-en-Provence from 1938 after completing his law degree. First he got involved with the SFIO , and later with the resulting PS . In 1953 he entered the Aix-en-Provence City Council. From 1964 to 1988 he also represented the canton of Aix-Nord-Est in the General Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône department . In the local elections in 1965, Ciccolini ran as the top candidate for the Socialists. After being beaten by a wafer-thin margin, he challenged this result in court. In 1967 the socialists were declared the electoral winners, making Ciccolini mayor of Aix-en-Provence. In 1971 and 1977 he was re-elected. After the result of the 1977 election had been challenged again, there was a re-election in 1978, which Ciccolini lost. Parallel to his mayor's office, he ran for the Senate elections in 1971. He was able to win a mandate, which he defended in the 1980 election. From 1987 to 1989 he was vice-chairman of the legal commission there. In 1989 he left the Senate because he did not run for re-election. He then withdrew from the public eye and died on May 1, 2010 in Ajaccio in Corsica.
