If Hope This is an American metalcore band from Auburn , New York that formed in 1998.

history

The band was formed in the summer of 1998 by singer Alan French, drummer Brandon Wakeham, bassist Gary Mann and guitarists Thad Jackson and Tim Seib. Together they developed the first songs, published demos and played various concerts, whereby the group received a contract with Diehard Records in 2002 and released their debut album Siege Equipment for Spiritual Decline there in the same year . However, since the album was not very successful commercially, Diehard Records separated again from the band. The group signed with Ironclad Recordings and released the album The Ground Is Rushing Up to Meet Us in 2003 . In 2004 the album was re-released on Metal Blade Records and Ironclad Recordings.

In early 2005 the band went on tour with The Agony Scene . Appearances with Kreator , Hate Eternal and Vader followed in April . Later that year she performed in North America with Hatebreed , Full Blown Chaos , Most Precious Blood and Manntis . Meanwhile, the band was working on new songs, so the group then recorded another album with producer Jason Suecof ( Trivium , God Forbid ). Brian Ward, who replaced Tim Seib, was the new guitarist in the band. Before the album was released, the band toured with Demiricous , Nodes of Ranvier and Still Remains . After Life in Ruin was released in early April 2006, a tour of the USA with Bury Your Dead , DevilDriver and Remembering Never followed in May .
