God Forbid was an American thrash metal / metalcore band from East Brunswick , New Jersey .

history

God Forbid was founded in 1998; In the same year the debut EP Out of Misery was released . A year later, the debut album Reject The Sickness followed on 9 Volt Records . The second album Determination was released in 2001 through Century Media ; Gone Forever followed in 2004 with guest musicians Jeff Loomis ( Nevermore ) and Michael Pinnella ( Symphony X ). During the 2005 and 2006 tour with Trivium , the fourth album, IV: Constitution of Treason , was released in 2006 , a concept album about the end of the world.

In 2007 took place with Sickness and Misery a re-release of Out of Misery and Reject the Sickness on a CD. In 2009 the album Earthsblood was released , the limited edition of which includes a bonus CD with 13 live songs, which were recorded in February 2007 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey.

In 2009, Dallas Coyle announced that he would be leaving the band on a friendly basis, and Matt Wicklund became the new guitarist. When Doc Coyle also announced his departure in August 2013 , Corey Pierce announced that the band had split up. Byron Davis confirmed this.
