Manntis is an American metal core band from Riverside County in Southern California .

Band history

The band, which was founded as a quartet in autumn 2000, was soon joined by a second guitarist . After a few months of rehearsing and songwriting , the band started playing at local events. In 2004 she also took part in the MTV show Battle for Ozzfest . There they took third place behind Curse Your Name and the winners of A Dozen Furies .

In April 2005, a worldwide record deal was signed with Century Media Records . The debut album Sleep in Your Grave , which was finally released under Century Media, was produced by Cameron Webb , who had also worked with Danzig , Motörhead and Social Distortion .

In 2006 the band played on the Sounds of the Underground tour, which u. a. led to England and Germany , with Chimaira , Unearth , All That Remains and Terror, her first live appearances in Europe .

The next studio album, Master of Ceremonies, was originally scheduled for 2007, but was postponed until summer 2008 and has not been released until now. It was supposed to be produced by Christian Olde Wolbers, the guitarist of the metal band Fear Factory .

Over the years, the musicians have been inspired by bands such as Pantera , Lamb of God , Hatebreed , boysetsfire , Zao , Poison the Well , Meshuggah and Killswitch Engage .
