Bernhard Daldrup (born June 1, 1956 in Sendenhorst ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013 and represents the Warendorf constituency there . In 2013 and 2017 he entered the Bundestag via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia. He is spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group in the committee for building, housing, urban development and local authorities and a member of the finance committee. He is also active in the parliamentary left .

Daldrup obtained his master's degree in 1983 after studying political science , philosophy and German at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He then worked as an assistant to the then Minister of Justice Inge Donnepp and later to Günter Harms , Member of the State Parliament . From 1986 to 1990 he was a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1991 to 2003 he was head of the office for urban development and economic development of the city of Beckum . Since 2003 Daldrup has been state manager of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics in North Rhine-Westphalia (SGK NRW).

Bernhard Daldrup is married and has two children.

Political career

Daldrup has been a member of the SPD since 1975 . Since 2000 he has been a member of the SPD state executive committee of North Rhine-Westphalia , since 2001 chairman of the SPD sub-district Warendorf and the SPD-Münsterland committee. From 1979 to 2004 he was a member of the city council of Sendenhorst; from 1988 to 2002 as parliamentary group leader of the SPD parliamentary group. He was also a member of the regional council of the Münster administrative district from 1992 to 2014 (formerly the regional planning council) and was also chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Münster regional council. The SPD nominated him as a delegate for the 14th and 15th Federal Assemblies .

Daldrup ran in the federal election 2013 in the constituency of Warendorf . With a share of the vote of 32 percent, he clearly missed the direct mandate compared to the CDU applicant Reinhold Sendker (51.3 percent); However, he moved into the Bundestag via the state list . In the 2017 federal election he was also elected to the Bundestag via the SPD's North Rhine-Westphalian state list.

In the 18th German Bundestag , Daldrup was a full member of the finance committee and a deputy member of the committee for the environment, nature conservation, building and reactor safety. In March 2014, Daldrup was elected as the local political spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.

In the 19th German Bundestag , Daldrup is a full member and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the committee for building, housing, urban development and municipalities , as well as a full member of the finance committee and a deputy member of the budget committee .

Since March 2014 he has been the spokesman for the local politics working group of the SPD parliamentary group; since April 2018 also spokesman for the working group on construction, housing, urban development and municipalities.
