Finance committee
In the German Bundestag , the Finance Committee is one of the 24 standing committees of the 19th German Bundestag . The Finance Committee is responsible for the entire area of tax law, among other things . The committee was set up by the 1st German Bundestag in 1949 as the “Committee for Finance and Tax Issues”.
tasks
In addition to tax law, the Finance Committee of the Bundestag deals with financial market regulation (banks, securities and insurance business) and customs .
Composition and members
In the 19th electoral term, the Finance Committee has 41 members who, as usual, are composed according to the ratio of the strength of the individual parliamentary groups. The CDU / CSU sends 14 members, the SPD nine members, Free Democrats and AfD five each, and the left-wing parliamentary group and the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group four each.
