John Eberhard Stony (* 18th June 1987 in Bad Durkheim ) is a German politician of the CDU and since the general election in 2013 Member of the German Bundestag .

Education, job and life

Steiniger attended the Valentin-Ostertag-Schule in Bad Dürkheim from 1993 to 1997 and the Werner-Heisenberg-Gymnasium Bad Dürkheim from 1997 to 2006 .

Following his graduation he began in 2007 a teaching degree at the University of Mannheim in the subjects of Mathematics and Political Science ( secondary education ). His focus was on applied mathematics and electoral research . In January 2013 he passed the 1st state examination. Steiniger completed his legal clerkship in January 2016 at the Rudi-Stephan-Gymnasium in Worms . Since his membership in the Bundestag, he had completed his legal clerkship parallel to his mandate. Since February 2016 he has been a grammar school teacher for mathematics and social studies. Steiniger was a fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation .

Steiniger has been an active member of the SV Rot-Weiß Seebach football club since 1994 - coaching various youth teams since 2003 (holder of the DFB - Trainer-C license ). As chairman of the OMEGA Freundes und Förderkreis eV he is also involved in hospice work in Bad Dürkheim.

Johannes Steiniger has been a member of the Junge Union since 2002 . In the following year he joined the CDU.

Since 2009 he has been a member of the Bad Dürkheim city council and the Seebach local council. From 2005 to 2013 he was chairman of the Junge Union Bad Dürkheim. From 2010 to 2018 he was state chairman of the Junge Union Rheinland-Pfalz. He is a member of the state board of the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate . He is also a member of the district board of the CDU Rheinhessen-Pfalz, a member of the district board of the CDU Bad Dürkheim and a member of the local board of the CDU Bad Dürkheim.

For the 2013 federal election he was elected by the CDU Rhineland-Palatinate to position 16 on the state list and moved into the German Bundestag as a member of the Bundestag . In the 18th legislative period he was the youngest member from Rhineland-Palatinate and the third youngest member in the entire Bundestag. In the election to the 19th German Bundestag , he ran as the successor to Norbert Schindler in the Neustadt - Speyer constituency and has since represented this constituency with a direct mandate in the German Bundestag.

In the 19th Bundestag , Steiniger is a full member of the Finance Committee and the Sports Committee . He is a deputy member of the Committee for Education, Research and Technology Assessment during this electoral term.
