Jörg Cezanne
Jörg Cezanne (born June 8, 1958 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German sociologist and politician ( Die Linke ). He was elected to the German Bundestag on the Hesse state list of the party Die Linke in the 2017 federal election.

Cezanne grew up in Mörfelden-Walldorf . In 1978 he passed the Abitur at the Carl-Schurz-Schule in Frankfurt am Main and trained as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk from 1981 to 1982. From 1991 to 1996 he studied business administration (VWA), sociology, African linguistics and historical ethnology in Frankfurt am Main. From 1990 to 1996 he worked in the Rationalization Board of the German Economy (RKW) as a consultant for general economic issues. In 1992 he married and the marriage resulted in a daughter.
As a young man he moved to Budapest . From 1995 to 2001 he lived with his family in Great Britain ( southern England ) and the USA ( Princeton (New Jersey) ). At that time he worked as a freelance consultant. a. for Greenpeace Germany and dealt with the topics of eco-tax and sustainable production. The family then moved to Munich . Cezanne has been living in Mörfelden-Walldorf again since 2006.
politics
Cezanne was a member of the DKP from 1977 to 1989 and served on the federal executive committee of the Socialist German Workers' Youth from 1983 to 1989 . He was politicized in the student council and the movements against the Runway West (Frankfurt / Main) as well as for peace and disarmament. In 2007 he joined the party Die Linke. From 2008 he worked as managing director of the parliamentary group of the left in the Hessian state parliament .
From 2016 to 2018 Cezanne was the district chairman of the Left in the Groß-Gerau district .
In the 2017 federal election, he was elected to fourth place on the state list of the Left in the Bundestag. As a direct candidate in the Groß-Gerau constituency , he received 6.7% of the vote.
Cezanne is sent by his parliamentary group to the 2nd committee of inquiry of the 19th electoral term of the Bundestag (vulgo: car toll affair ) as rapporteur. Jörg Cezanne is a full member of the Finance Committee and the Committee for Transport and Digital Infrastructure .
