Carsten Brodesser (born September 5, 1967 in Lindlar , Oberbergischer Kreis ( North Rhine-Westphalia )) is a German CDU politician .

education and profession

Carsten Brodesser attended the St. Angela Gymnasium of the Ursulines in Wipperfürth and passed the Abitur there. He then took a degree in economics at the University of Cologne . He completed this with the degree in economics . In 2011, he completed a part-time course of study at the University of Frankfurt am Main , obtaining a doctorate as a Dr. phil. from.

From 1992 to 1993 Brodesser was a student employee in marketing at an international company in the computer industry. From 1994 to 1996 he was a consultant at an economic consultancy, from 1997 to 1999 sales manager at an investment company (financial services) in the savings bank sector. From 2000 to 2005 he was Head of Marketing & Sales at a holding company (real estate) in the savings bank sector. From 2005 to 2009 he was branch manager and member of the executive board of a company in the real estate industry; 2010 to 2017 regional director and authorized signatory of a building society.

Carsten Brodesser was chairman of the Junge Union in Lindlar, from 1993 to 1996 district chairman of the Junge Union Oberberg and first deputy chairman of the Junge Union in Bergisches Land. As treasurer, he was also a member of the executive district board of the CDU Oberberg from 1995 to 2015. Since November 2015 he has been the district chairman of the Oberberg CDU. In November 2016, the delegates of the CDU Oberberg nominated him as their candidate for the Bundestag. Brodesser is particularly interested in topics of financial and economic policy as well as questions of economic cooperation and development. In the 2017 Bundestag election on September 24, 2017, he received 43.7% of the votes in constituency 099 Oberbergischer Kreis and was thus directly elected for the 19th Bundestag . Since then, Brodesser has been a full member of the Bundestag's finance committee and represents his party as a deputy member of the petitions committee and the committee for human rights and humanitarian aid .

Personal

Carsten Brodesser is married and has three children. He lives in Lindlar.
