Fritz Güntzler MdB , (born May 6, 1966 in Cuxhaven ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and auditor.

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1985, he did his basic military service in the Bundeswehr . Güntzler then studied business administration at the University of Saarland and the University of Göttingen . In 1992 he took his diploma in business administration and then worked in an auditing company. In 1999 he was appointed tax advisor. Since 2000 he has been working as a partner or managing director in companies in the areas of auditing and tax consulting. In 2003 he was appointed auditor .

politics

Fritz Güntzler has been a member of the CDU since 1989 and joined the Junge Union (JU) in 1990 . From 1992 to 1995 he was chairman of the JU-Stadtverband Göttingen , from 1995 to 2000 he was chairman of the JU district association of southern Lower Saxony-Hildesheim. Fritz Güntzler has been a member of the CDU regional executive committee in Lower Saxony since 1996 . From 1999 to 2005 he was chairman of the CDU city association of Göttingen. Since 1999 he has been treasurer of the CDU district association in Göttingen. In November 2009 Fritz Güntzler was elected CDU district chairman in Göttingen.

Güntzler was councilor of the city of Göttingen and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the council of the city of Göttingen from 2001 to 2014.

From January 2005 to 2008 Fritz Güntzler was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 15th electoral term. At that time he was a member of the Committee on Law and Constitution and the Committee on Science and Culture.

From 2010 to 2013 Fritz Güntzler was again a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament. He became the domestic policy spokesman for his group and was a member of the Committee on Home Affairs and Sport, the Committee on Affairs of the Protection of the Constitution and a deputy member of the Committee for the Control of Special Police Data Surveys.

In the 2013 federal election, Fritz Güntzler ran for the CDU in the Göttingen constituency ; as successor to Hartwig Fischer and entered the Bundestag via the state list. There he represents his parliamentary group as a full member of the finance committee , a full member of the sports committee and a full member of the federal finance committee . He is also a deputy member of the budget committee . He is also a member of the financial market committee.

Fritz Güntzler is involved in various voluntary work in Göttingen. He is represented in the following cultural and non-profit institutions: Göttinger Händelgesellschaft eV (Board of Directors), Arwed Löseke University Foundation (Board of Trustees), member of the association meeting and member of the administrative board of Sparkasse Göttingen, member of the advisory board of Grundstücksgesellschaft Göttingen mbH, member of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Göttingen AG, member of the broadcasting council of the North German Broadcasting Corporation, member of the administrative board of the Institute of German Auditors eV, member of the board of trustees of Ev. Stifts Alt- und Neu Bethlehem, member of the supervisory board of the Neu Bethlehem hospital gGmbH and member of the non-partisan European Union Germany .

On June 21, 2019, he was elected President of the Lower Saxony Chamber of Tax Advisors.

Private

Fritz Güntzler is married and has two children.
