Reinhold Sendker (born October 24, 1952 in Warendorf ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2000 to 2009 and has been a member of the Bundestag since 2009 .

Life

Sendker graduated from primary school in 1967 and then attended a vocational school for business and administration until 1969. He completed this in 1969 with a secondary school leaving certificate . Then he went to the technical college for economics until 1971, where he obtained the technical college entrance qualification in 1971 . This was followed by a degree in business administration , which he completed from 1971 to 1976 at the Münster University of Applied Sciences . In between he did basic military service from April 1972 to June 1973. Finally, in 1976, he graduated with a degree in business administration . He then did a teaching degree in economics , education , Catholic theology and philosophy at the Paderborn University from 1976 to 1979 . In October 1979 he passed the first state examination for teaching at upper secondary level , the second state examination followed in October 1982. Sendker has been a teacher at the vocational school in Warendorf since November 1982, and has been director of studies since 1993. Sendker is Catholic , married and has three children.

Act

Sendker has been a member of the CDU since December 1969. From 1978 to 2003 he was chairman of the CDU local union Ennigerloh-Westkirchen and since September 1995 he has been chairman of the CDU district association Warendorf-Beckum. Between 1979 and 1986 he was district chairman of the Junge Union and from 1979 to 2009 he was a member of the City Council of Ennigerloh, where he was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1981 to 2000. Since 2003 he has been deputy chairman of the CDU district association in Münsterland.

Sendker belonged to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since the state elections from 2000 to 2009 . Sendker was a full member of the Interior Committee and the Committee on Environment and Nature Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. He was also the spokesman for his party on the Petitions Committee. He was also chairman of the working group on rural areas of the CDU parliamentary group.

Since the Bundestag election in 2009 , Reinhold Sendker has been a member of the German Bundestag as the winner of the direct mandate in the Warendorf constituency . He was re-elected in 2013 and 2017. In the 18th German Bundestag (2013–2017) he was Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Digital Infrastructure. He was also an alternate member of the Food and Agriculture Committee . He has also been a member of the Committee for Transport and Digital Infrastructure in the current legislative period since 2017; he is a deputy member of the Committee for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety and the Committee for Food and Agriculture.

In the German Bundestag he is a member of the Europa-Union parliamentary group of the German Bundestag and the parliamentary group of the Baltic States.
