Annette Watermann-Krass (born March 15, 1957 in Sendenhorst ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2012 , to which she was a member from 2005 to 2010.

Studies and career

Annette Watermann-Krass obtained her technical college entrance qualification in 1975. Then she attended the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Münster . Here she took the focus areas "visual communication". In 1980 she obtained her diploma there . From 1980 to 1984 she was employed by an advertising agency, from 1984 to 1989 she worked there as a freelancer. She has been working as a freelance graphic designer since 1989.

Party offices and mandates

Annette Watermann-Krass has been a member of the SPD since 1984. In 1991 she was elected to the board of the SPD sub-district Warendorf . From 1991 to 2001 she was chairman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (ARSP) in the local sub-district. Since 2004 she has been chairwoman of the SPD city association of Sendenhorst. From 2006 to 2010 she was a member of the Federal Party Council of the SPD.

In 1989 she was elected a member of the city council of Sendenhorst, where she was deputy mayor from 1999 to 2005. Since 1997 she has been a member of the Equal Opportunities Committee of the Association of Towns and Municipalities.

From 2005 to 2010 she was for the first time a member of the SPD in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, where she worked in the committee for women's policy as well as in the committee for the environment and nature conservation, agriculture and consumer protection. In the state elections on May 13, 2012 , she won a direct mandate in constituency 87 (Warendorf II) with 40.1 percent of the first votes . For the 2017 state elections , she entered parliament via the SPD's state list. In the 17th electoral term she is a member of the Committee on Petitions, the Committee on Schools and Education and the Committee on the Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection.

Annette Watermann-Krass is married and has two children.
