Marlies Stotz
Marlies Stotz (born July 23, 1959 in Lippstadt ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
education and profession
From 1976 to 1979 she completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale clerk. She graduated from high school in 1983, then attended a technical college for economics, where she graduated as a state-certified business economist. Until 1984 she worked as a commercial clerk.
politics
She has been a member of the SPD since 1985. From 1985 to 2000 she worked for various members of the German Bundestag and the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . Since March 2000 she has been chairwoman of the Lippstadt city association . Since 1989 member of the council of Lippstadt and its board of directors. From 1994 to 2002 she was deputy mayor of Lippstadt.
Since June 2, 2000 she has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament (constituency 120 Soest II). The state elections of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 won Stotz in parliament constituency Soest II as a direct candidate. She is an expert in education policy and therefore sits on various education committees.
She has been a member of the ÖTV trade union , now ver.di, since 1985 .
