Annette Breitbach-Schwarzlose

Annette Breitbach-Schwarzlose (born April 14, 1952 in Braunschweig , † September 8, 2001 in Bergheim ) was a German state politician of the SPD in North Rhine-Westphalia . She was a member of the state parliament from 2000 until her death in September 2001.

Life

She studied business administration and later became a housewife. She was married and the mother of two sons.

Annette Breitbach-Schwarzlose joined the SPD in Bergheim in 1990 and was initially active within the party. From 1994 she was a competent citizen in the Bergheim City Council and became a council member after the 1999 local elections. In the same year she was able to prevail within the party against several competitors in the then Bergheim / Pulheim constituency as a candidate for the state parliament. On May 14, 2000, she succeeded in the state elections here, against the then CDU top candidate and later Prime Minister Jürgen Rüttgers with 43.8 percent of the vote and to gain the direct mandate.

During her brief period in the state parliament, Annette Breitbach-Schwarzlose worked on the school and petition committee. She also retained her council mandate in Bergheim until her death.

She died of cancer. Her successor in the state parliament was the then SPD minister Birgit Fischer .
