Rita Klöpper (born June 8, 1944 in Cologne ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

biography

Rita Klöpper finished school in 1960 with secondary school leaving certificate. She then completed an apprenticeship as a bank clerk, which she completed in 1963. From 1965 to 1967 she was a department head in a construction company. After parental leave, she worked for Raiffeisenbank Frechen-Hürth eG from 1969 to 2005

Party and politics

1995 Klöpper became a member of the CDU. In the same year she was elected deputy chairman of the CDU city association Frechen . She has been a member of the board of the Rhein-Erft district association of the women's union since 2000, as well as the board of the Rhein-Erft district association of the Christian-Democratic Workers' Union (CDA) and the CDU's Local Political Association (KPV).

From 1999 to 2009 Klöpper was a member of the Council of the City of Frechen, and since 2004 she has been a member of the CDU parliamentary group. Since 1999 she has been a member of the district assembly of the Rhein-Erft district, and since 2004 a member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group.

On June 8, 2005, Rita Klöpper entered the state parliament of North Rhine- Westphalia for the first time as a directly elected candidate for ( constituency 6 Rhein-Erft-Kreis II ) and was re-elected in 2010. With 44.9% of the first votes (compared to 38.1% for Hardy Fuß from the SPD) she entered the state parliament. From the 15th electoral term she was chairwoman of the North Rhine-Westphalia Petitions Committee .

In the state elections in North Rhine- Westphalia in 2012, Klöpper was defeated by Brigitte Dmoch-Schweren in the state electoral district of Rhein-Erft-Kreis III, but entered parliament via the CDU's state list. At the end of the legislative period, she left the state parliament in 2017.

She was a member of the 15th Federal Assembly (Germany) for the election of the German Federal President.

She is married and has three children.
