Maria Hölters

Maria Hölters (born December 24, 1910 in Düsseldorf ; † November 28, 1995 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and high school , Hölters, who was a Roman Catholic , was initially a housewife. Later she was chairman and managing director of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Sozialpädagogik und Gesellschaftbildung eV, Düsseldorf .

politics

In 1952 Hölters became a member of the CDU. From July 21, 1958 to May 28, 1980 she was a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . In the fourth, fifth and eighth electoral terms, she was directly elected in constituencies 044 and 045 Düsseldorf II. In the sixth and seventh electoral terms, she entered the state parliament via her party's state list. The state parliament elected her in 1969 as a member of the fifth federal assembly .

She was a member of the city council of Düsseldorf from 1952 to 1962.
