Jens Pfeifer

Jens Pfeifer (* 1976 in Hagen ) is a German filmmaker ( documentary film ).

Life

After high school and community service in Hagen (Westphalia), he began studying ethnology and law in Hamburg in 1998. He completed his master's degree with the film study density participation with the camera and in 2005 switched to the Munich University of Television and Film (HFF) to study documentary film directing.

From Munich he made numerous documentaries and reports for German-speaking television stations as a writer and director. His debut film Phoenix in der Asche (2011/2012) premiered at the Munich Film Festival and was nominated for the German Documentary Award in 2013. His second movie Spider Murphy Gang - Glory Days of Rock`n`Roll (2019) followed in 2019. Jens Pfeifer has also been working on scripts since 2015.
