Jeranuhi Karakaschian
Jeranuhi Karakaschian ( Armenian Երանուհի Գարագաշեան ; * 1848 in Üsküdar ; † March 16, 1924 in Tbilisi ) was an Armenian actress. She was the older sister of Verkine Karakaschian .
Jeranuhi Karakaschian appeared for the first time in the 1864–65 season in the Şark Theater , then in the Gedik Paşa Theater (later known as the Ottoman Theater ) by Agop Güllü , sometimes also in the Aziziye Theater in Üsküdar. From 1868 to 1878 she took on female leading roles in the Gedik Paşa Theater . She took part in tours of the Benliyan operetta troupe to Edirne, Egypt (1885 and 1888) and the Caucasus (1880). In 1888 she withdrew from the theater, settled in Tbilisi and married Alexander Argutian.
