Karlheinz Bentele

Karlheinz Bentele (born May 16, 1947 in Konstanz ) is a German administrative scientist and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Bentele began studying administrative sciences at the University of Konstanz , which he completed in 1973 with a degree in administrative science . He then entered the administrative service and worked at the Federal Ministry for Research and Technology . In 1975 he moved to a science center in Berlin and from 1976 to 1980 he worked for the SPD party executive. Bentele was in 1979 at the University of Konstanz for Dr. rer. soc and was employed in the Federal Ministry of Transport in 1981/82 . In 1983 he worked for the SPD parliamentary group and acted as head of the office of Hans-Jochen Vogel. From 1983 to 1991 he worked as an administrative officer in the North Rhine-Westphalian State Chancellery . From November 1, 1996, Bentele was President of the Rhenish Savings Banks and Giro Association (RSGV); his term of office ended on December 31, 2007. Up to this point in time he was a member of the Board of Directors of DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale .

Public offices

From March 1991 to October 1996, Bentele was State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance in the government of North Rhine-Westphalia led by Prime Minister Johannes Rau . From October to December 2008 he was a member of the management committee of the Financial Market Stabilization Fund .
