Jeremy Lusk

Jeremy Lusk (born November 26, 1984 in San Diego , California , † February 10, 2009 in San José , Costa Rica ) was an American freestyle motocross driver.

Originally from East Country San Diego , Lusk took up motorcycling early on. At the age of three he started riding motocross with a Yamaha PW 50 that he got for Christmas. He started his FMX career in 1994. Mike Metzger and Seth Enslow were the role models he emulated. To reach their level, he trained on Palm Ave in Chula Vista , a famous motocross spot with difficult cliff jumps and technically demanding passages.

Lusk won gold and silver at the 2008 X Games .

He died of a cervical spine injury and several brain injuries that he sustained in a failed landing after a "Heart Attack Look Back Indian Air Backflip" on February 7, 2009 in Costa Rica in a freestyle motocross contest. He leaves behind his wife, Lauren.
