Jesús Torres Tejeda

Jesús Torres Tejeda (* in Hato Mayor del Rey ; † December 9, 2002 ) was a Dominican radio broadcaster, producer and director.

Torres became known in the 1950s as a spokesman for La Voz Dominicana and director of various radio stations. At Radio Fiesta he directed the program De Fiesta con Recuerdo for three years , in which he presented music by Dominican and international stars on a daily basis. With this broadcast he then switched to Joaquín Custals La Voz del Trópico , later to Radio HIN , Radio Comercial and finally to Radio Clarín . The programs ran at La Voz del Trópico from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., later 24 hours a day and were moderated by Alci de la Rosa and Alberto Sandoval , in addition to Torres . Torres died of leukemia in 2002.
