Yevgeny Vladimirovich Galkin ( Russian Евгений Владимирович Галкин ; born November 27, 1975 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who played for HK Traktor Chelyabinsk and HK Metschel Chelyabinsk during his career .

Career

Yevgeny Galkin began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the HK tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose professional team he was active from 1997 to 2000 in the Super League , as well as the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division. He took part in the 1998/99 season with tractor on a North American tour, where he ran up with his team as a guest team in the Western Professional Hockey League . In the summer of 2000, the winger moved to Traktor's city neighbor HK Metschel Tscheljabinsk , for whom he played in the super league over the next three years.

From 2003 to 2005 Galkin played for one year each in the Wysschaja Liga for Molot-Prikamje Perm and the HK tractor Chelyabinsk. After he started the 2005/06 season at Metschel Chelyabinsk, he finished it at city and league rivals HK Traktor Chelyabinsk, with whom he rose as the second division champion in the super league. From the 2008-09 season , Galkin was a regular player of the HK tractor in the newly formed Continental Hockey League before retiring in June 2011.
