Jiří Valenta (born February 14, 1988 ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

Jiří Valenta started playing football at the age of seven with Sokol Kunratice. A year later he moved to Slavia Prague . In the 2005/06 season he came to some missions for Slavia B. In the summer of 2006, the midfielder moved to FK Jablonec . Initially a supplementary player, Valenta has been part of the regular formation since the second half of the 2007/08 season. In the 2009/10 season Valenta came on only five missions for Jablonec and moved in June 2010 on loan to 1. FC Slovácko .

National team

Valenta was in the squad of the Czech U20 team , which was runner-up at the 2007 Junior World Cup in Canada. He had previously played for the Czech U16, U17 , U18 and U19 teams. In 2001 the midfielder made two games for the Czech U-21 national team in which he scored one goal.
