Jimmy Westerlund (born July 8, 1977 in Kristinestad , Finland ) is a Finnish songwriter and music / TV producer .

Career

Since around 2000 he has been in contact with key people for music & TV worldwide. Close business partners from his home country Finland are Warner Music Group label boss Asko Kallonen and A&R Gabi Hakanen ( EMI Group Finland). Other partners from Scandinavia are Mariann Records label boss Bert Karlsson and producers like Lasse Andersson and Mats Persson ( Roxette ). Westerlund also works with A&R Ken Ogihara from Sony Europe.

He produced the largest exports from Finland such as Sturm und Drang , Negative and Cain's Offering , and directed the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki. Most recently he worked with producer Robin DiMaggio on a United Nations project .

He also recorded his first solo album with musicians such as Robin Dimaggio (from Paul Simon and David Bowie ), Alfred Dunbar (from Christina Aguilera and Pink ) and Alex Alessandroni (from Michael Jackson This is it Band). He also produced one of the main songs for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa.
