Joachim Detjen

Joachim Detjen (born June 11, 1948 in Buxtehude , Lower Saxony ) is a German political scientist .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1966, Detjen served as a soldier in the German Armed Forces from 1967 to 1970 . He then studied political science, German, educational science and philosophy at the University of Hamburg . The first state examination for teaching at the high school he graduated from in 1976, the second state examination in 1981. Five years later his doctorate Detjen to Dr. phil in political science at the University of Hamburg. From 1986 to 1995 he was a teacher at the Halepaghenschule grammar school in Buxtehude. From 1995 to 1997 he taught political science and didactics of social studies at the Karlsruhe University of Education . From 1997 until his retirement in 2013 he was Professor of Political Science III: Political Education at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt .
