Joachim Heydgen

Joachim Heydgen (born August 23, 1963 ) is a former German middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .

At the German Indoor Championships he was third in 1987 and second in 1988 and 1989.

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1988 in Budapest, he reached the semifinals. In 1989 he won bronze at the European Indoor Championships in The Hague and was eliminated from the semifinals of the World Indoor Championships in Budapest .

Joachim Heydgen started for the Turnerbund Emmendingen.
