Joachim Hornung (hymn poet)

Joachim Hornung (* 16th century; † 16th century) was a German hymn poet . He worked as a pastor in Sulzbach-Laufen , but was blind . In Nuremberg in 1557 he had Valentin Neuber print three spiritual lamentations on eight pages. In the songs he asks to be released from blindness. The songs were reprinted as early as 1558, and in 1570 they were published in Nuremberg in the second part of Johann Koler's hymn book Christian house chants .
