Joachim Klaiber (born March 7, 1908 in Stuttgart , † September 23, 2003 in Kiel ) was a German director .

Career

Klaiber's first engagement took him to Lübeck in 1932 as an actor, dramaturge and director. Stettin, Heilbronn, Essen and many other stations followed. In 1941 he designed the structure of the Strasbourg Opera together with Hans Rosbaud .

From 1963 to 1976 he was general director of the stages in the state capital of Kiel .

With the singer Carla Henius he founded the first German opera studio.
