Joachim Koch (politician)

Joachim Koch (born August 20, 1952 in Meiningen ) is a German lawyer . He was a politician for the Left List-PDS and its deputy from 1990–1994 and 1999–2004 in the Thuringian state parliament .

Koch passed his Abitur in 1971, followed by military service with the NVA 1971–1974. He studied law from 1974 to 1978 at the Humboldt University in Berlin and completed research studies in the field of labor law in the law section from 1978 to 1981 with a PhD A. Afterwards, Koch was a research assistant there until 1983, then a legal assistant. From 1984 lawyer. Koch was a member of the PDS district committee Schmalkalden from January 1990, later of the PDS district committee Schmalkalden-Meiningen.
