Joachim Oehlke

Hermann Hans Joachim Oehlke (born December 19, 1936 in Breslau ) is a German hymenopterist .

Life

Oehlke attended elementary school in Breslau and Herrnhut . He then successfully completed an apprenticeship as an agricultural worker. After graduating from high school , Oehlke began studying biology at the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 1962 he worked as a research assistant at the German Entomological Institute (DEI) of the German Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Berlin-Friedrichshagen. In 1965 he received his doctorate in natural sciences with the subject: "The Ichneumonidae parasitizing in European pine bushhorn sawfly (Diprioninae)".
