Joachim Thiele

Joachim Thiele († after 1653 ) was a German organ builder in Rastenburg in the Duchy of Prussia . His organ in Angerburg , today Węgorzewo, is the oldest preserved organ in the former East Prussia .

life and work

Little information is available about his life. In 1638 and 1650 he was mentioned in the tax lists of the city of Rastenburg . Joachim Thiele is said to have married a stepdaughter of the organ builder Paul Fischer from Rügenwalde.
