Joakim Nilsson (born March 31, 1966 in Landskrona ) is a former Swedish football player .

career

Nilsson played for Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan . In 1990 he moved to Sporting Gijón in Spain , where he was active until 1993.

Nilsson has made 27 appearances for Sweden . With the country selection he took part in the 1990 World Cup , in which the Swedish selection failed in the preliminary round, and the 1992 European Championship in his own country, in which the semi-finals were reached. He was also part of the Swedish squad at the 1988 Olympic Games .
