Joanna Krakowska

Joanna Krakowska (* 1964 ) is a Polish theater scholar , editor and translator .

Life

Krakowska graduated in 1988 her studies in English Literature at the University of Warsaw . She lectures at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theater Academy in Warsaw and deals scientifically with the history of contemporary theater as well as with political theater and drama. In addition, she is the deputy editor of the theater magazine dialogue and a regular feature articles for the online magazine Dwutygodnik.com . In 2017 and 2018 she was a member of the jury for the Nike Literature Prize .

She translated texts by Susan Sontag , Richard Schechner and Ariel Dorfman .
