Jochen Klenner

Jochen Klenner (born October 27, 1978 in Neuss ) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) and has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017.

Career

Klenner grew up in Korschenbroich and graduated from high school in Korschenbroich in 1998. He voluntarily extended his military service .

Jochen Klenner as a radio host

During his school days, Jochen Klenner worked as a freelance journalist for the Neuss-Grevenbroicher-Zeitung. In 1999 he became a trainee at Radio 90.1 Mönchengladbach and later an editor in the local editorial team and freelance work for the mother station Radio NRW in Oberhausen. In 2006 he became office manager in the constituency of the Bundestag member Günter Krings and in 2009 managing director of the CDU district association Mönchengladbach.

Klenner is the father of a son (* 2012) and a daughter (* 2015) and lives with his family in Mönchengladbach.

Political activity

Jochen Klenner has been a member of the CDU since 2004. He is member of the CDU district association Mönchengladbach and member of the executive board as well as the board of the CDU Mönchengladbach Nord and CDU Windberg. He is also a member of the SME and Business Association and one of the deputy chairmen of the SME parliamentary group.

In 2017 in the state elections, he won the direct mandate in the Mönchengladbach-Nord constituency and became a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Klenner is a full member of the Budget and Finance Committee and the Labor, Health and Social Affairs Committee. He is also the spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the SUA committee, state companies, special funds and a member of the PUA parliamentary investigation committee on child abuse.
