Jochen Schneider (canoeist)
Joachim "Jochen" Schneider (born September 19, 1942 in Stuttgart ) is a former German canoeist .
At the Olympic Games in 1968 he reached the semi-finals in a four-person kayak over 1,000 m with Bernd Guse , Erich Kemnitz and Erich Suhrbier . At the canoe racing world championships in 1970 Schneider won the silver medal in the K-4 over 10,000 m together with Horst Mattern , Rainer Haines and Erich Kemnitz. Schneider secured the bronze medal in the K-1 over 10,000 m at the Canoe Racing World Championships in 1971 .
