Jockey (game)

Italian version of the jockey game

Jockey is a board game published in 1973 by American professors Peter Murray and Steven Spencer. Like the stock market game published by both of them in 1967, it contains numerous new elements. The aim of the game is to make clever bets on the placement of the horses and to keep them secret from the other players. Then the horse figures can be pushed forward by all players with the help of jockey cards.

The game has been translated into numerous languages by Ravensburger . It has not been available in Germany for several years.

reception

In a review in the Berliner Zeitung, Peter Huth described the game as “ a fantastic mix of card and board game, in which luck and skill are balanced ”. He complained that the game was no longer available in Germany, and gave tips on building the game yourself.
