Edificio Jockey Club

The Jockey Club is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The building was built as a result of a competition held in 1920 to build it and is located in Barrio Centro on Avenida 18 de Julio 857 between Andes and Convención streets . The French architect José P. Carré was responsible for the construction . Architecturally, the building can be assigned to historical eclecticism . This is where the Jockey Club is located .

The Jockey Club has been classified as a Monumento Histórico Nacional since 1975 .
