Joseph Turner "Joe" McNulty (born September 9, 1949 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a retired American cross-country skier .

McNulty specializes in endurance racing. He achieved second place at the NCAA championships in 1970. At the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , Japan, he started in the 50 km race, but had to retire. In the same year he won bronze with the relay at the Winter Universiade in Lake Placid and finished 13th over 15 km. As a long-distance runner , he took part in the 1976 Mount Washington Road Race , a hill climb up Mount Washington in New Hampshire . He reached the goal in 14th place.

McNulty first went to Tilton School in New Hampshire and later to Middlebury College . After completing his active career, he helped maintain various hiking trails, especially in Jackson , New Hampshire. He was also chairman of a ski touring company in the 1970s.
