Joe Yellow

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joe Yellow was the name of an Italo Disco music project in which Domenico Ricchini was the only member in public.

The rock and disco musician Domenico Ricchini (* 1958) began to work with the producer team Roberto Turatti and Miki Chieregato in 1983. The name of the music project was an idea by Chieregato during the recording of the first single Lover to Lover in Baby Studios in Milan . The idea was to find a name that sounded English but had a meaning in Italian. So they agreed on Joe Yellow , which in Italian can be associated with gioiello ( jewel ).

In 1983, Lover To Lover was released, followed by Take My Heart . The singer of both songs was Simon Luca . Under the pseudonym Silvy Foster Ricchini brought at the same time Hookey out. This year Domenico Ricchini alias Joe Yellow was named The Best Composer In Europe by the Formula One program .

In 1985 he started working with Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente . Farina then took over most of the vocal parts, including on the singles Recollection , Love At First (1985), I'm Your Lover (1988), Runner (1988), Wild Boy (1989), Last Call (1991) and USA (1992). On the other hand, Domenico Ricchini sang on Synchronization Of Love (1989). In 1986 he was the Italian with the highest chart position in Germany. In 1988 an album of the same name was released with the successful single I'm Your Lover . Domenico Ricchini also produced Baby Blue and Hot Stuff Fever for Divina and published under the name Joe Garrasco and Garrasco’s .

The Italo disco wave was not well received everywhere in Italy either. So were Joe Yellow and Den Harrow in a club in the mountains by the public as culattoni (dirty word for homosexuals abused) and threatens what they showed her bare bottom, which caused quite a stir.

When the Italo disco wave subsided, Joe Yellow's success was over.
