Joel Dufter (born March 18, 1995 in Traunstein ) is a German speed skater .

Career

Like his father, Joel Dufter started playing ice hockey in his childhood . He finally got into speed skating through his sister Roxanne . His greatest success in youth was a 1st place at the Junior World Cup 2013/14 in Bjugn over 1000 meters. In the World Cup it was a second place in the team sprint 2016/17 in Nagano and a fifth place over 1000 meters in Heerenveen .

Like his sister Roxanne, he was able to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. Dufter started on the 500-meter and 1000-meter distances. Over 500 m he finished 29th and on the 1000 meter distance he was 14th.
