Joernhinrich Duus

Joernhinrich Duus (born December 8, 1942 in Schleswig ) is a German entrepreneur.

Career

Duus came to Brazil in 1967 via the Hamburg Süd shipping company and settled in Recife. From 1967–1968 he studied philosophy, theology and sociology at the PUC Recife. In 1984 he came to Vitória (Espírito Santo) and founded the Trans-Overseas shipping company. In 1991 he founded the company Brazshipping Marítima together with Cláudio Lysas and the brothers Jan and Bert Lagendijk.

Since July 21, 2006 he has been Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Espírito Santo.
