Joey Cavalieri

Joey Cavalieri (born before 1979) is an American comic book writer and publishing editor.

Life

Cavalieri has been in the comic industry since 1979. After initially working as a freelance writer for the US market giant DC-Comics from 1979 to 1982 , he received a permanent contract as a writer there in 1982. After writing various series for DC until 1992, Cavalieri moved to its rival Marvel Comics as publishing editor before returning to his old employer in 1996, where he was promoted to Senior Editor in 2005.

The series he has supervised include Huntress , The Oz-Wonderland War , The Flash and World's Finest Comics (for DC) and Marvel 2099 (for Marvel).

In addition, Cavalieri works as a lecturer at the School of Visual Arts and was nominated from 1997 to 2000 and from 2002 to 2004 by the Comics Buyer's Guide in its annual election as Favorite Editor .
