Johann Bacher (politician)

Johann Bacher (born July 14, 1950 ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and state official as well as a member of the Styrian state parliament .

Bacher attended elementary school in Niederwölz from 1957 to 1961 and then from 1961 to 1965 the secondary school in Scheifling . He then graduated from the advanced high school in Horn between 1965 and 1970. As a result, Bacher took the official examinations and was employed at the Stolzalpe State Hospital . He also completed his military service at the Zeltweg Air Base in the Air Defense Department headquarters company.

Bacher was active as a local councilor and works council chairman at the LKH Stolzalpe. During this time he headed the ÖAAB in the Murau district as district chairman and was district party chairman of the ÖVP-Murau until March 2009. During this time he represented the ÖVP Murau in the Styrian state parliament and was area spokesman for health and control. His political priorities were in the areas of health, regional policy, labor and employment policy, sport, tourism and culture.
