Johann Georg Spitzer (before 1633 - after 1681) was a German patrician and from 1655 to 1682 mayor of the imperial city of Heilbronn .

In 1633 he was a member of the inner, small patrician council of Heilbronn ( "von den burgern" ), in 1636 he was tax master, in 1644 mayor and from 1655 to 1682 mayor. From 1650 he was also Vogt von Flein .

He married Anna Maria Orth, widow of the mayor Philipp Orth the Elder. J. and granddaughter of the former mayor Wendel Ans . He owned the Orthsche Seegut in the east of the city of Heilbronn, which he sold to the Trapp family in 1653, after whom it is still called Trappensee today .

The Spitzer coat of arms, both as a coat of arms and as a crest, depicts an unclothed woman with loose hair. The woman holds a hexagram in her right hand and is shown against a background that is half sky blue and the other half gold.
